some of them are relatively cheaply made, especially the smaller MG combo amps it seems...... they aren't bad, its just i would play one before i bought one to make sure it would fit your playing

I have the mg 100dfx I love it. I've had it for about 3 months and haven't had any problems at all.

I have been playing a MG250DFX for almost a year now and have had no problems at all. It has one of the best sounding clean channels of any amp I have used. The overdrive channel is good but could be better. As far as effects, they are limited but what is there is useable. The reverb is great!
Overall a very good amp! Hope that helps, however I would definately try it before you buy. There are a lot of good amps out there. Don't limit yourself just to Marshall!

how about trying out marshall avt or now discontinued marshall valvestate? i hate to say this but i could not get the correct amp overdrive from a marshall mg100,
even with the volume, gain and master volume at maximum plus fdd on, i don't get the crunch.
for your information, my 30 watt marshall vs30r had not had it's volume ever above 1 but with my guitar volume knob at 2 i already able to get the correct overdrive crunch
thrust me, if you are looking for the marshall crunch by looking for a higher power amp, forget about the mg series, they however make decent practise amp at affordable price.....
