Jesus.... why is everyone so riled up over this? It wasn't "assassination of character", based on the guys posts, and subsequent lack of replies to the feedback, it was a fairly logical assumption that he's a bot set up by someone trying to get their music out there. The fact that he hasn't weighed in on this topic AT ALL isn't doing much good for his case.

exactly floyd.

why are they riled up? i can tell you but they wont be honest enough to admit it.
its because i posted it. thats the real reason.

add something folks can use here or go back to the side lines.
your insults are totally meaningless too. they have been the whole time ive been here. this isnt the first time you show up in the middle of something and throw your insuls about.
your punch and run tactics are pretty childish and i can honestly say, your the only one on this forum that does that. once it was brought to my attention that you do that, i had to agree. seeing that this whole post is a mess anyways you want to come add fuel to the fire. care to take a moment and explain why it is you feel the need to do so, or how in what way it helps out the situation at all in either direction?

ya know what, skip it. all this thread is doing is devaluing the forum as a whole at this point. makes us look like every other forum on the web. not our goal i dont think.
so lets leave the thread alone and get back to productive posts. all its doing is drawing bad press. see ya on the other posts guys.

hey bob, what part of the above did you not understand?
your as usual trolling my post looking for trouble, trying to restart a flame that everybody else has left alone. like this post, you too are very counter productive at this point. once again, DROP IT.

You don't make the rules here...you just violate them. You attacked a forum member and discredited his ability by dehumanizing him and suggesting he could be a "bot". He is simply a good contributing member and an excellent player.

You also attempt to discredit me. I welcome the review of my post here as well as my contributions.

I recommend that you apologize to euphoria480 and I will "DROP IT" as you suggest. I require nothing for myself. :)

Man...Some serious hostility going on in here! What happened to addressing each other like mature adults? Not to stir the pot here, but I read through this whole thing and I didn't see any personal attacks happening 'til long after the op. I don't think WCJ was trying to defame or attack anybody; clearly by reading the op it was an observation and a question of whether he was the only one thinking that mr 480 may or may not be a bot.
I wasn't even going to weigh in on this one but I have trouble with a bunch of grown men bickering like pre-pubescent girls. This forum is quickly heading the way of many other internet forums...*yawn*

This entire thread is ridiculous. Both "sides" are overreacting to a foolish degree. It was a assumption idea, until Nevin mentioned that he has talked to him. Thread should have ended there. Christ only knows why anybody felt the need to keep it going after that.

Wise words, from probably the youngest poster in this thread. You're wise beyond your years Floyd.

thank you floyd and tim.
sure it went to far. i think the others dropped it just before i suggested the same.
it was headed nowhere, and got out of hand quickly no matter who is right or wrong.
but some folks wont let it die out.

+1

The lounge has more and more of these dud threads posted by the same people who just can't take a hint.

This thread should have been deleted.

I've got a couple of threads to tie up then you won't see me posting much after that.

lol To be honest I think what has happened is that waycool has said something he was unsure of (with little tact I might add) you didnt intend to get out of hand. I dont think waycool intended to hurt anyone- his assumption that the said member was a bot is clearly wrong, but I guess waycool didnt know the repercussions would be so bad for suggesting so. Sometimes things said by the stroke of the keyboard can seem to not resonate the same meaning in person.

Anyways, I know waycool feels sorry for bringing the topic up- so who's in favour of a highjacking? :D

maybe you should be the one to step up and just outright say it and not hint around about anything.

What bothers me about this statement is that
a) it could have been worded so that if Euphoria480 indeed were not a bot, he could have answered (what I mean is you could have written "Euphoria480, are you a bot?"). That way, even if he was one, no feelings could have been hurt. But the way you worded it shows that you had already made your mind up, and just wanted recognition form others.
b) the innuendo that there could even be such a thing as "contributing to the forum" too much or too little, and the implied censorship is preposterous. In fact, I would go as far as to say that while some people post much more than others, they actually contribute very little. And as I heard from users offline, the sheer vastness of way cool threads on potentially "loaded" topics makes it unattractive for said members to contribute, let alone post.
c) I cannot yet detect a video or a sound sample from you on here, OP. It takes a lot of balls to put yourself out there with a soundbite, and I respect Euphoria480 for that. He may not post much, but he does his thing. So what gives you the right to step up like that and then not even show signs of remorse, even though Nevin's post clearly proves you wrong? Calling for everyone to "let it die" is not an apology.

I like to help you out where I can, for instance on that thread about acoustic guitars. It's fun, it's creative and we can all learn something about gear or music in a friendly way, and that's fine. But you post so much threads that for a mere mortal it is impossible to keep track. So when I discover threads that only have an ominous title and contain a link as the first post, it's just not easy to fathom what they are about. And as we saw with the child being peppersprayed thread, there are just certain limits to what should be posted on here, and I suggest you turn it down a notch and who knows, maybe other members will even start posting.

Shout me down all you will, it's just my opinion. But I've had enough of your sensationalist threads. It's like reading the tabloids sometimes. It used to be that these sort of topics were left outside of this forum, making it an oasis in a way. A place where one needn't worry about the horrificalities of this world and could simply have a good time hanging out and talking shop. Think about it.

Maybe more than two cents, but I don't care. Vent over.

Thanks for listening.

Nutter
