Well I finally bought guitars that are not Orville or Orville By Gibson...This time I got myself a couple of Tokai's, a ST 50 and an ST 60. Got a super deal on them as a pair....they should be here next week if Canada Post doesn't go out on strike. More pictures to come.

I have never had a Tokai Strat before, so this should be interesting.

Few more pictures....Both guitars have been rerouted for humbuckers, which isn't really a bad thing as I've been known to play around with pups and this, I guess, would save me some work :) I've got some humbuckers home now that will be great for some experiments :D

I like the ST-60. Something I've got for maple necks. Of course I've never played that brand of guitar and neck before but pretty.

Blinkers brought both guitars over tonight and we played both through my JCM 800 2204 stack and they really have a Strat sound. The rosewood one is in dire need of a setup but is hotter and brighter than the maple(There goes another old wives tail/urban legend) but the maple neck is much more like the 60s Strat C shape necks while the rosewood has a much chunkier D necks feel to it.I think that if the pups from the rosewood were put in the maple necked jobby it would be a formidable guitar. All in all they're both great guitars and you wouldn't believe the price he got them for to say it was a bargain would be an understatement and that was delivered from Japan.
