And for some useless trivia, he used to live near Kurt Cobain when he was in Olympia.

I am a fan of cigar box guitars and stuff and his stuff is catchy.

This was the first time I saw him, introduced as some guy they'd just found lying in a ditch sorta, but seems he's been around alot longer according to his wiki page, a gimmick or just the way he rolls I don't know, he could step on stage with Billy Gibbons and not look out of place though, anyhoo this was some introduction

'Ain't got no judge's licence; to this picker, Seasick Steve comes off as his own flavour of genuine musician.

Thumbs up to a man who's not afraid to be a non-clone. Even his name vibes with independence.

After all, what other blues name is associated with (a personal negative experience with) riding upon (rather than association of immediate proximity to)...water?

Thank you for the link.

I kinda dig the guys music. Gimmick? I don't know. But I have to agree with some of the other comments. I like the fact that I'm listening to something a little different than whats out there. Hope he keeps it rollin'!

I like it better than most of the crap released to the world as music. I'd call it Hillbilly Rap. That is how they used to play during the Depression, on homemade instruments. If that guy can sell some music, More Power To Him. I think it's great. and Yes Nevin, I'll have some of what the drummers havin'......... Make it a Double Dose! 8)

Steve is what he is. He's not manufactured, groomed or "developed". I hope he stays that way.

Genuis. I love it. It doesn't seem to be a gimmick, he seems to be what he is.

I hear some Fred McDowell and Hound Dog Taylor in there...
