I like my muff.

But mine's a little different, it was a kit, b.y.o.c. It's more versitile than a regular muff. It has tone switch, mid cut, mid boost, flat or out, for a stock sound.

It was about 100 or so, but you have to solder it youself, and paint it.

cheers

If you're interested in a Muff, you may want to check out the Little Big Muff. It's around the same price as its big brother, and it fits a little more easily onto a pedalboard. I think it also has a 9v jack (unlike the standard model).

IIRC, those are pretty terribly reviewed.... and digital, as opposed to its analog brother.

I've seen nothing to indicate that the current Little Big Muffs are digital, unless there was a fairly recent change in their design.

Huh... I could have sworn that the "nano" and "little" EHX pedals were all digital... hmmm.... I still prefer my continent-sized sovtek muff though 8)

If you don't mind shelling out an extra ten dollars, I would recommend the Big muff with tone wicker. You get the classic circuit, or you can hit the tone switch to use the tone knob. The wicker switch acts as a treble booster too.

Edit: its also got the 9v jack too (but it doesn't come with an adapter) and can be battery supplied. Its the size of the little big muff so its pedal board friendly

did my research on the big muff-i'd like it, but not as a go to pedal.
i just dont want something that big and round, ya know? i just want it simple and raw without the distortion taking over.

back to the drawing board :?

Its pretty great, I mostly use it for bass. When I got it I fried it with an AC transformer. Your guess is as good as mine as to who needs a 9v AC supply.

ok so i' having second thoughts about the big muff. the big muff with tone wicker looks cool, and only $180 where i live. i reckon thats a good deal. the tone and wicker look like they'll be handy.

Have you looked at the Tym Buzzrite or Human Fly pedals? All of the Tym pedals are made in Brisbane, Australia and most use classic circuit designs of vintage pedals.
