okay so its my birthday in a couple of weeks, i had no clue what i want. my brother suggested i get a good distortion pedal, as the one i have cant cope with volumes that i play with.
theres a couple i want; if it were up to me i'd have all of them.

Trex mudhoney II dual distortion

RAT Deucetone

RAT turbo

Big muff

there only a couple. i have no clue how much they cost. having a dual pedal would be handy.
So if anyone knows how much they cost or if any of you have them, tell me about them

Big Muffs are amazing, I'd go with that one.... You could also check out the Way Huge Swollen Pickle, pretty damn intense 8)

I've used the same Big Muff Pi since the early 70s and have tried many others since but still keep coming back to the Muff.IT can give you violin type tone and sustain or get razor sharp raunchy. It's probably got a greater tonal spectrum than any other distortion made unless you want to get into the ultra expensive boutique pedals.

And now because of this topic I want to pick up an NYC Muff (mines a Svotek) just to see the difference/have the (extremely slight) variety

i currently have a behringer fd300. great for practicing just not good for my stanard volume.

i want a really treble fuzz, wthout the distortion taking over the whole sound.

A Muff with the tone turned up would be great for that, and would also be able to give you the most intense wall of noise distortion you'll ever hear with the tone around 12-2 o clock.

Riley, I don't know if you can get one of these shipped to your area, But if your feeling a little crafty, you should try putting one of these together. I just ordered the Piledriver, Clean Boost. http://www.google.com/search?q=mod+kit+ ... 66&bih=632 8)

This is about the best I've heard.

Incredibly quick at tracking the bass end, so no mush.
Drive channel, more drive channel, 20db boost that can be added to anything, even the straight through guitar sound.

If you're interested in a Muff, you may want to check out the Little Big Muff. It's around the same price as its big brother, and it fits a little more easily onto a pedalboard. I think it also has a 9v jack (unlike the standard model).

IIRC, those are pretty terribly reviewed.... and digital, as opposed to its analog brother.
