i have been part of the fender world for a few years. I have become kinda a fender loyalist. back home i have a Hello Kitty Squire (with invader pickups) and a Fender Jaguar HH special. I came to S. Korea to teach but also to shake life up. I was doing the same thing in the same place for many years. Since coming to Korea i have to say i have experienced many new thing and many new feelings. I am lonely and i am tired and i feel like $@!& and i feel like an outcast.... but i keep going because i know it will make me stronger. I love guitar and i love trying so hard to express my feelings through guitar. Before i came here i could not do that because i made up all kinds of reasons to not pick up my guitar
Since coming here and becoming a stranger in a strange land i realized things that are important to me. I thought i was a tough guy that didn't need anyone but i now realize i am not. Yes, i lift weights and am a black belt and shoot guns but you know what... i miss country and now i realize that i miss you. All of you! you all mean more to me than i can express. Even now as i write i have tears because i am lonely... alone! When i write i feel connected and not so isolated. I guess in my long winded way i am saying thank you. thank you all for being who you are and part of who i am. I love my guitars and in my isolation i have been playing every night. Please know that every moment i play you are all with me, you are all part of every time my pick strikes my strings. I just want you to know you all mean more that you might imagine. you are all great inspiring awesome people. thank you!

Hey zenbone sorry you feel so down, the world can be a very lonely place even in "a crowded hazy bar"

For various reasons ive been a bit of a loner for years, i have a great knack of losing people if ya know what i mean, friends/lovers all gone lol.

Hope you get some comfort from your online friends even if the chance of meeting em is about as likely as winning the lotto. Take care mate and look at the brightside South Korea has about the fastest broadband in the world so at least ya dont have to wait long for yer page to update !!

man, no better time and situation to be writing some blues bro.
there is no better situation than what your in now to do some writing,
some soul searching, getting to know your guitar, to do some wood sheddin.
you want the blues you got it my friend. start writing bro. "long long way from home"
could be your first song.

say, why the heck you over there anyways?
when ya coming back?

way cool... you are cooler than cool! your posts have always meant to world to me. i have been taking my life here and tried to scream it through my guitar... you all have meant so much! i have to say i was brought up very tough. so expressing feeling is not natural to me at all. i know only hard and rage and brutality. i just want you all to know you mean a lot to me.

hey way cool.... yeah i am month 4 or a 12 month gig. I came to shake my life up... i was living a very comfortable life in a very comfortable world for many years. I left that life and all the securities behind to experience a new world. Lets just say the experience has taught me how good i had it. my apartment is the size of my livingroom back home and the kids i am trying to teach could care less about me.
but bottom line is that i set out to grow as a person so here i am.... good, bad or whatever i am here to tear apart my fat lazy zenbone and figure out who i really am. who i really am is part of you guys... you have all helped me, remind me. all of you have reminded me who i am. you all mean so much to me... you all make me a better person. it just took this extreme reality to show me.

Zenbone,I'm sorry that you are missing your homeland so much, it surely must be tough.I had to go away for a one month hospital stay 4 years ago and that was bad enough so I can just begin to imagine how hard it must be on you. It's nice to know that we're appreciated though and that you value our friendships.Just keep thinking that it's not permanent and that you have all your forum family to lean on when the going gets tough. Take care of yourself-we all care and value your friendship too.Derek.
