Last night at the O2 Arena, Gimour joined Waters on stage to perform The Wall.

Look for the news fans. I'm not really a Floyd fan but know a lot of you out there will enjoy the coming snippets. So keep your eyes open.

Thanks Nik!

Part of me would like to see them get together again but with Richard Wright's death a couple years ago and the bad-blood generated with Floyd's breakup, it would be bittersweet.

If Gilmour can now step on a stage with Waters without puking into a bucket afterwards then I guess we can only call that progress.

I thought Gilmour's body language after the Live-8 show was the funniest thing I'd seen for ages. Well, apart from Peter Kay nearly getting stomped by The Who's road crew live in front of a viewing audience of a billion earlier the same evening, that is. :D

Cheers - C

I'm not a huge fan, but I respect them for what they've done and still being
out there doing shows. Richard Wright's death happpened when I was just
starting to appreciate them more.

IMHO, anyone over 60 that's still out there doing shows is an inspiration!

not trying to hijack the thread but this made me think you know who i admire for still tearing it up, Ozzy. i just saw a clip from a recent show and was blown away. for all the drugs and craziness and the years for him to be performing at the level he does is awe inspiring to me.

Hijack away mate. I honestly don't care, if anything I enjoy the twists and turns a well jacked thread can take.

And yeah, I agree with you about Ozzy. More so Lemmy though. I strongly recommend the Lemmy film.

Great music is great music.
Great guitar playing is great guitar playing.
I'll probably buy the dvd when it comes out.
My hope is it was an outstanding performance.

My expectations for Van Halen after reading parts of Haggar's book and reading Roth is back are much lower, but one never knows.

Oh! I read excerpts from Hager's book in Rolling Stone. Sounds like EVH is really, really messed up! Guy can't even play his own guitar parts anymore! Sad. Pretty disgusting what he did to Hager and Anthony. But fueled by alcohol EVH is on the road to destruction if he doesn't sober up soon!

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
