Man...Quite the topic this has become. So yeah, no intentions to give anything up for good, I think what I was really trying to say is that I've gotten as much enjoyment as I could from being a 'serious' musician. Music is therapy for me, and something that'll never be completely out my life, but I have a lot of important things happening in life right now, and no matter how important music is, it'll never be as important as being a family man. I am going to take the advice of many on here, and pursue something new musically' like maybe it's chicken-pickin' time? We'll see.

As far as the treating music like a video game goes  , That's as far from reality as possible. I have dedicated a lot of blood sweat and tears to playing the guitar, and if I so choose to give it up, that's my choice.

btw...rebelsoul...I'll get that snake out of your way asap...you've dealt with it for a while already .

P.S. - Rick, the JetCity's not going anywhere...sorry. 8)

I don't know if it's going anywhere, it's too good an amp. But if I decide to sell it at some point in the future I'll give ya first dibs.

KEEP THAT AMP.

dude when i quit for all those yrs, i came back and a lot of my stuff had way better than tripled in price. my pedal collection alone had jumped in price so much, i started to break it down and put pedals away and replaced them with current models.
i would have never thought that those pedals would have went up in value like they did.

Mate I so get it, I have just started to take it a bit more seriously again and playing with people and at jam nights and I am finding it becomes quite stressful and egos so get in the way, as soon as other musicians think you have a ocnce of talent they just go straight for the jugular and instantly try to find a way to put you under pressure and take the fun out of it. I don't get why it can't always be just fun. It should not be so competitive. You look at the majority of $@!& hot players in history and they made a name for themselves when they were boozin on and havin fun. That's were it's at!!! I don't give two hoots about how many scales people know or how heavy a progression they can put together it's just boring. Crack a bottle of your favorite beer tune your amp to the room plug in and have fun!! Stuff all the pressures other people and the industry puts on you mate lose the stressful influences out of your music Tim and play what and how YOU want... That's what all the legends did..... Be a legend brother!!!!!

Peace!!!!

Rock out!!!
