The answer to my question is probably do a lot of tedious experimentation, but since I'm lazy I'll try to get a leg up.

I recently bought a Fender Phaser. I plugged my guitar into it, and plugged it into my amp to make sure it worked. It worked perfectly. Then I added it to my pedal board, and inconsistency began. The order of the board from first device to last device is as follows:

Fender Fuzz Wah
Fender Phaser
BBE Soul Vibe
BBE Mind Bender
MXR Sound Gate
Electroharmonix Cathedral Reverb
Electroharmonix Memory Man (which i use exclusively for echo)
Electroharmonix LPB1

If I turn on the Phaser, it works. When I turn it off, nothing else makes a sound. Then if I turn it on and off again, I have sound back. Needless to say, this is unworkable live. Any ideas about how to reintroduce it?

fuzz > compressor > Big Muff /Distortion > G-2 > boosters /overdrive > equalizer > modulation > delay > Amplification
