Bob Marley died on this day in history,he was instrumental in getting reggae the world-wide acclaim that it received. His music transcended the race barrier and inspired bands like the Police and an upsurge of reggae music became a fad like disco but it enjoyed a much greater longevity. We had an all white reggae group here called "Pressure Drop" that enjoyed a huge following and every night played to SRO venues they were together for a few years but like it is with most bands each one of them went on to pursue their own musical interests.RIP Bob,I hope they have ganga in Heaven.
