The Salvation Army has removed the original Childrens Home and replaced them with replicas.People are aghast as they were one of the biggest tourist draws in Liverpool.What is really raising people's hackles is the statement that they may be auctioned off sometime in the future.Is nothing sacred anymore?

thanks for the link Rhumba,I didn't know there was such a place....I can understand the anger at having replica gates installed.

Oh yes Rebelsoul there is such a place and I can confirm it because I was there a couple of years back.
These are the original gates and I must say that I very much understand the anger. Had these been replica gates it would have felt pointless, I think the originals should be treated, preserved and put back in their rightful place. To be honest I thought all of the Beatles related sites were owned by the National Trust and I think we have not heard the last of this issue. What could be next?
