It's like any other endorsement, a given manufacturer presumes you to be able to markedly increase and sustain their profits by your fame. (Notice I didn't use the word, "talent".)

It all boils down to your popularity-if your name isn't known nationally or internationally you may as well forget ever getting an endorsement.I've been waiting for a Guitslinger '65 Strat reissue endorsement for years but neither one has appeared yet.lol.

If he wants an endorsement he's gonna have to get his name out there as much as possible. Many professional musicians that have sold hundreds of thousands of albums and still have no endorsement deals. It's like the old saying goes...It's not who you know...it's who you'll blow.

I've seen three forms of endorsements.

Most of people that I know have a deal where they pay a fixed amount of the price
to be able to use the product but must list it on all music, transcripts, etc.

Some get a 50/50 deal where they pay about half of the price (Jenny Batten, J Geils, Duke Robillard, etc)

And the top shelf endorsers are sought out by the product manufacturers and given
the products at no charge.
