LOL. I love it. They actually MAKE Hello Kitty guitar picks? Too cool! That's a scream. Does it come in a thumb pick that would actually fit an adult, or is it just a flat pick? (Not that I intend to get one, mind you. I just got a cool blue one to replace the tortoise shell one that broke during a gig.)

I agree, Sweetie. Women shouldn't need smaller or lighter guitars. I still play my dad's old Dreadnought from time to time, and it's heavy, but not as heavy as my acoustic-electric, for obvious reasons. I never did much with electrics growing up, but now that I've discovered them, I like them a lot! Oh, the tones! Wow. I've discovered that even classical and jazz sound great when they're toned out. (Maybe not with major fuzz, but still---!) Awesome!

Totally agree!!! I can pick up my guitar just fine!

Jessica,
Nothing wrong with inexpensive gear. What is your favorite acoustic number?

probably Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) by Green Day. I'm in the process of transposing the string solo to guitar... i've almost got it. Green Day's pretty much my favorite band... other than My CHemical Romance

I started out with acoustic. My dad brought me home a guitar from Japan when I was 13. I killed that one (who knew they made capos? ). My next guitar was a classical (and, yes, I got a great capo!). Still have that one. I have my dad's Dreadnought, which I play occasionally, and an acoustic-electric from another manufacturer (which shall be nameless). I also have a solid-body electric (also from another manufacturer, but it was a present... 8) . My cousins who were in the music business all played Fenders, so before I got my acoustic, I'd already played a great Fender. (Wish I could remember what model. I don't know which one of his kids inherited that guitar, but it was wonderful. It may have been a Les Paul.)

I still prefer playing acoustic, because I haven't learned all the little tricks to make electric sing. I'm working on it, though. :D I keep broadening my playing styles.

I see a lot of good rockers here! Anybody else play other genres?
I do classical, country, bluegrass, Celtic, jazz and some rock.

Sorry, but LP guitars are made by Gibson.

I know this'll get a rather  response from some, but there's nothing wrong with playing other manufacturers guitars, too. I got a Fender acoustic /electric (DG-16 E 12), a Taylor acoustic, as well as my basses (Fender, Rickenbacker, Carvin). I play them all.

^ agreed, theres no reason you can't play other brands.... fenders are great guitars, but for certain styles of music, some other brands make excellent guitars.... for more heavier music gibson, ibanez, and PRS are all great... martin and ovation are great acoustics

Hi there! Checking in from Phoenix, Az. I just signed up. This is my first post, so it'll take me a while to learn to use the site.

I got some Hello Kitty guitar picks at the 60th Annual Fender Bash last year. They're flat picks.
