Nevin you must have gotten horseshoe suppositories to luck into a deal like that.An A-neck Fender from any year is a rarity as they were special order-I had a '78 A-neck Strat- but to get a Jazz of that vintage with one is a real rarity. She sounds so sweet too-that neck pup is so full and mellow-it just sings. You did extremely well.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I just have to ask--what's the story behind your screen name?

Are you really overworked, narcoleptic or just generally sleepy?

I would guess that having a rare neck would increase value.... but perhaps nobody would want one since it is very narrow.

I actually like narrow necks. My Squier's neck is probably my favorite and it's much narrower than a MIM Fender. It's probably aimed at younger children, but hey, it works fine for me.

Congrats on that guitar, it looks and sounds amazing. :D

Congrats on a great score Nevin and I really like the tone on it,by the way very nice demo. I would say thats a keeper and the only thing left is take your time and find the few age period correct odds and ends and restore it back to full original.
