so you dont know what you need then right.
if anything you know you can use a JB jr. so dont worry about it then.

i wouldnt waste my time drilling anything if the JB jr fits.
its a killer pickup and the cats azz for rock or metal.

trade it off, hang onto it, sale it, send it to me, whatever. the easy route is the jr.

I think it's a good plan. To the best of my understanding the Classic Vibe Squier has a vintage cavity route under the pickguard, so you couldn't drop a full humbucker in without widening that slot. Which would be a shame. (Though anyone who knows differently about the shape of those cavities should chime in.)

Pop the JBjr in there and you have a guitar that sounds good, looks good and hasn't been seriously messed with. I like it.

The JB and JBjr sell for around the same price. No problem to sell the one in new condition on Ebay for nearly full price and buy a jr with the cash.

Sorted.

a dude that modded his sunburst cv 50 said his has a standard route it is a nice guitar
suposedly i would only need to drill 3 holes the rest is perfect

this reminds me of something someone said about squiers to me... he said squier strats follow some certain standard "rules" for them to be affordable a good example is the import string spacing on the tremolos on squier strat guitars i guess body routing could be one of them (thank god!!!!!)
