I'll just say that I'm delighted to hear the US Special forces eventually caught up with this guy and delivered the message many people around the world wanted to send.
He was high on the list but there are quite a few more yet. However this must have knocked them on their backs and the timing was good too, with the current trend across north africa and middle east, of protest without the need to hide behind masks and shady corners and in Bin Laden's case, apparently, behind his wife too.
So the world moves on and we will eventually get to a good place.
Thanks to all involved in the struggle, both now and into the future.

........One of the maintenance people in my office building served in Afganistan. So did his family. One returned to the US wounded. There's a framed battle flag with a certificate of authenticity and photograph hanging on the wall in the lobby courtesy of him. Everytime I look out of the south-viewing windows on our floor, I'm reminded of what we saw there 10 years ago. I still see the smoke, flames, debris and, yes, the bodies falling. I recall the story my cousin's wife told of standing in the lobby of the WTS, waiting on the elevator, only to be greeted by a furnace of flaming jet fuel when the doors opened. I thanked John this morning for his, and the service of his sons. We should never fail to constantly remind the world of the cost, no matter how great, we are willing to pay for our freedom, and the terrible cost they will pay for any attempt to wrest it from us.

I really think they've known his location for years, I really do. Nasa has satellites that can read the headline on my newspaper. Google maps seems to be everywhere. Yet this old, sick bloke evaded all that for ten years? It don't ring right to me. I think Obama called the hit to get himself some campaign ammo for next year. The proof is in the pudding, what have we got now? Is the terrorist threat ended? No. Is Al Qaeda ended? No. Is it a fair price for the lives lost and ruined? No. Did everyone feel good for a while and Obama can take the credit after his other less successful ventures? Yes.

The reasoning being that the CIA was regularly intercepting conversations and messages from him in 2001, and they suddenly stopped shortly after 9/11. Also, in the last video he recorded, sometime in late November-early December 2001, he was supposedly in the final stages of kidney failure.


I don't necessarily believe that theory, but I am keeping an open mind about it. If he was still alive, they've definitely had his location for some time now.

The Afganis did not attack the WTC. Al Quaida is primarily an Arab organization, and the Afghanis are not Arabs.
Afganistan asked NATO for help with the Taliban and thats why they are there.

al-Qaida members are/were housed and protected in Afgan, by Afgans.
The Main Man, Leader of al-Qaida (Bin Laden) was housed and protected in Afgan.

I believe it. Straight up I do. French newspaper Le Figaro reported that he was treated for kidney infection in 4-14th July 2001 by an american hospital in Dubai, and whilst undergoing treatment was visited by a CIA official. However, as he was then at the very high ranks of the wanted list, he was never detained. His health was a major concern and doctors were very concerned afterwards that kidney infection or failure would end his life. He was put on dialisis and sent back to Kandahar. He has been in contact with CIA since 1979, and this ended in late 2001.. for obvious reasons.

Spy agencies can read a car license plate from a satelitte, then why is it they cannot track a person for 10 years? I believe with no hesitation that a extremeist terrorist organisation was behind the attacks, but Al Qaeda's existence as far as I'm concerned has yet to be proved with hard factual evidence. All the talk of frozen assets and no hard evidence of what they actually were.

I feel sympathy for anyone that was lost and all families too, and I dont want to step on anyones tail. But I just dont celebrate anyone's death, and nor do I buy in to the idea with todays technology, they cannot track a man that had dialisis & serious kidney health problems in 2001 with Satellittes, a fully equiped army, airforce and naval force- with the help of allies involved, when less than 2 hours drive north from me, is a base managed on U.S soil, run by the NSA intercepting all kinds of communication transmissions from all over the world. I think he is dead, but he has been for a long time now. I also don't buy into the idea of the way the third building collapsed in manhattan 2001. But, my opinion, which of course is subjective to everyone elses.
