Interesting point of view. Certainly would have made sense to have had it done and moved on without any fanfare but cultures have been doing their victory dances since the dawn of memory. A hard tradition to abandon.

Oh that it were that easy Nik, France, Ireland, Holland to name a few who were allowed the vote, voted NO but in true EU fashion dictated that they had voted wrongly and strong armed them, even the Czech minister gave a speech at the EU on why they did not want any part of it as they had only come out of communist oppresion and see this as much the same thing, and if anyone knew about commie oppresion it's the czech's you think someone would listen alas no, was visited by EU with flag in hand and ordered to fly it, it's a dictatorship, next step for EU is a seat in the UN which makes all EU countries who sit at present in the UN voiceless, look at Greece first to go bust with the euro back for another handout,
I think if Obama came within a mile of Brussels he wouldn't get out until he said USA was now part of EU

Good old Mr Farage. He can always be relied upon to entertain. I wish he'd focus a little less on theatrics and personal insults and focus on the job in hand. He'll never get us out of Europe acting the way he did in the video. Just invite derison from his peers. If he could invest on educating the people of the UK the truth about the EU, he'd stand some chance. Did you see the latest one in the Daily Mail about the EU wanting to merge parts of France with parts of England. Effectively making a new country. Though the Pro-EU story is that it was all to do with fishing rights. Like France ever needed anyones permision to fish anywhere.
Alas I fear that the only way out now is to petition our monarch. Get the Queen to do her job and pull parliament into line about this. (this hope being the only reason I'm not anti royal)

yet, there are values set on a person thats willing to say what other people are thinking.
the man might not be moving things forward, but he is bringing things to light and making public opinion known, something we dont seem to have anymore in this country.
he might not be respected but he will be heard. i like that in him. he tells it like it is from what i just saw in that video and the few others i just watched on him.

He's not though, the media report on him like he's a clown. We're told absolutely nothing about the EU. Just that everything is fine and dandy. When someone does make a negative observation about it, their either portrayed as a villain, racist or loony.

The only option if for Queen'y to step up to the mark and tell Brussell's much the same as you lot told us a few hundred years ago (not that I bare any ill feeling over that at all). After all we suffer the same as you did. Taxation without any real representation. (Constantly being ordered to obey, then punished for trying to retain national identity is not what I'd call representation)

Never seen that part in the Mail Nick, did see though that Westminster refused to fly the Euro flag today ( Europa Day ) and will now be fined for having the audacity to only fly the Union Jack, you couldn't make it up ( Dave taking a stand, perhaps )

I think Cambo would chase em off given half the chance. The union certainly has nothing to offer us. Aside from the threat of import taxes onto the continent. Which after labours destruction of our manufacturing industry, ain't really a worry at all. And it never concerned us in previous times when we did manage to make a few things in this country.

We should set about making a parody of the flag and fly it high. Replace the stars for sprouts maybe. Something idiotic and comical to really show how we feel about the affair.
