One of the two deadliest topics to ever converse about especially on a forum board. All I can say is that Obama has done in two years what Bush could not do in close to eight, and what was most impressive was the way he did it. I am to the point that I cant even watch cable news as it is not about reporting but politics as if you watch Fox you are getting the Republican report or CNBC you are getting the lefts view, even though I do watch both I rather just get the straight facts from 2-4 or 7. I still dont know how people expected Obama to come in and in 2 years clean up a disaster that the Bush administration left the size of the Grand Canyon. If Bush never started a war that with Iraq that just about bankrupt the country and cost 4 kids there lives and focused on intelligence he would of more likely have taken the low life out too. But since he had a personal vendetta which he did not hide about Saddam "He tried to kill my Father" I do not feel it is our business to police the world and rid it of every psycho dictator,but I do know there were no terrorist groups building in Iraq while Saddam was there. So he is gone and the world is better off without him but not us since Al Qaeda now has a huge stronghold in that country.

I think Obama deserves all the credit in the world as he did it nice and quite, I personally would of liked to have seen Bin Laden with two in the head but after thinking it over I think it may be best to not show the pics. I also love the way they dumped him to go sleep with the fishes but does anyone really think they tenderly washed him up and sent him of with love and care lmfao. I bet there were was a lot of spit flying possibly along with something else. So far I think Obama has tried to stay on track and push for the things that got him elected and as Americans dont be too fast to past judgment on a half of term as Lincoln could not of fixed this mess in two years. But one thing he has sure proven which the far right kept harping on was that he was to weak and wimpy to keep the country safe, I guess he exposed that myth big time!

Until you get all parties to work for the common good of the American people who they supposedly work for , nothing constructive will ever be done. Greed and power is name of the game.
We the Sheeple who elected these clowns need to wake up. I am neither a Republican, Democrat, Teabagger, Conservative or Liberal. I'm a Political Enigma. My problem is, if they cut all the programs and benefits, do you think they will cut taxes and let us keep what we earn or just line their own pockets?

Yeah I know, I did that on purpose. We have a group of Teabaggers that protest in our area all the time holding up signs comparing Obama to Hitler and scaring local people away from what the movement is really about. Usually they're right across the street from the Right to Lifer protesters on the other side of the highway that hold up posters of dead fetuses and what not, who push around the doctors and nurses coming out of planned parenthood. Who by the way, don't do abortions there anymore. LOL Extremists in every party or movement are nothing more than a bunch of twisted yam bags and balloon knots anyway. What's sad is some folks take them a little too seriously and that's when bad things happen. I believe as long as no one is hurting me, do what you want with your own body and mind. Just don't expect me to pay for it.

All these guys are fine examples of why birth control is a good thing.

Rip, why don't we just get away from that disaster zone? How can our government be so stupid as to be involved with that dictatorship. (I refuse to vote but want the option to vote on our continents leaders if I have to have em).

Before we got roped in with the EU and gave women the vote, we ruled the world. We were the worlds 3rd superpower until we gave Brussels control in the early 90's.

Try as I might, I can't help being firmly anti EU. Not anti European, just not at all in favour of this sham that gives a country the size of Liverpool dictatorial control over a good portion of the worlds population.

Can't we persuade Obama to invade Brussels? We want freedom and democracy too

It's great to have Straycat back in the fray. He has an interesting point of view. One must always keep in mind that there's a continuity in history and often what appears as a success on the watch of one administration is cumulative of events which were ongoing in the past. Fortunately, much of the history of the development of the Bin Laden operation has its roots solidly in the Bush years. Obama happened to be in the right place at the right time, but the serious leg work preceded him, and may not have borne the kind of fruit that it did, were certain of Obama's policies in place then. Had the election gone the other way, a former prisoner of war would have had the pleasure of flipping the switch, and that would have been a new item unto itself. As for Saddam, I would simply offer the well worn addage, 'if you're not part of the solution, your part of the problem'. He was a classic tyrant and murderer, learned in the ways of the mentors who preceded him: Stalin, Tito, Nasser, among others. Once his heel was off the backs of the necks of his people, they took care of business. But a bigger club was necessary to knock him of his perch first, before that could happen and, of course, he behaved like the classic coward, save for not having put a gun in his mouth and blown his brains out.The ebb and flow of the geopolitical power game vis a vis the USA, Iraq, and Iran through the 20th Century is a study in itself, and cannot be addressed here.
