Lenin once opined that "religion is the opiate of the masses".

In similar fashion, political machinations are the aphrodisiac of the illuminati.

'Nuff said.

Well we wouldn't keep having elections if the politicians actually governed instead of trying to unseat the government so we can have an election with the same results.

Michael Ignatief is an opportunistic, shallow flake,Steven Harper is a mendacious, petty, deceitful, perfidious, vindictive autocrat and Jack Layton is the only good one of the bunch and sadly he doesn;t stand a chance.Harper has a snowball's chance in hell of getting any seats in NL because he has openly lied to us and has many times shown his pure contempt for our province.

We're waiting for Danny Williams to step forward and lead the country. :) It seems that we have been left without a plan for decades. Today the candidates are shamelessly trying to drag voters from the bunch of undecided and clueless Canadians just before election day. The winner of this hopeless and desperate strategy won't have much to be proud about. Let's just hope that tomorrow's election will shake the potential future "leaders" and bring people with vision to do the job, we could use some of them, because since Trudeau, nobody can say that we have been impressed by anyone. OK, back to scales and music guys. :)

Harper has nothing but contempt for Parliament, the media, and worst of all the Canadian people. He needs to be shown that we're not going to put up with his crap anymore.
Nevin, not voting is a cop out. If you don't like the way things are, then get your $@! out and vote. I know it's old but it's true; "If you're not part of the soultion, you're part of the problem". Which one are you going to be tomorrow?
I know our political system sucks, but it's the only one we have and until we change it we're stuck with it. Come on man, make your mark. Do you want to see another government led by that idiot? VOTE!!!

Love the conspiracy tell us more.... The reason I ask is because the truth is usually very boring.

See this is interesting how media propaganda manipulates votes by soliciting information and influencing votes. In my province these three amigos are seen in a bit different light. In any case all three are not worth talking about.

Hi Dan,back in 2006,Stephen Harper signed an agreement during the election to give NL full ownership of her offshore royalties, full equalization payments,a complete refurbishing of the 5th Wing Goose Bay Air Base,An Offshore Search and Rescue Facility to be built in St. John's and several other promises.Upon signing it he said and I quote verbatum "A man's word is golden."When the election was over and the Conservatives swept NL with seats in parliment Harper not only reneged on all the promises but stated unapologetically that he never had any intentions of following through with it.

That is something that most Canadians don't know but it is a fact.If this isn't deceit and mendacity in it's most pure and virile form I don't know what is.

Don't get me wrong I am not warming up to any of the top three. This info you provided I did not know, however I am not surprised by mr. roboto response.

The Conservatives got their noses rubbed into it in NL again except for in Labrador where Peter Penashue the Innu leader scraped by.Fabian Manning who gave up his Senate seat to run again got beaten again which looks good on the boot-licking sycophant.I guess though Harper will give him another posh job just to piss off Newfoundlanders like he did when he appointed him to the Senate after the electorate vilified him the last time. It's good to see the NDP finally get a chance to be the official opposition and Ignatief will probably go back to teaching political science at Harvard.

By the looks of things now, it should be a majority government.

And with that, my hopes are quashed.
