I have a Standard Stratocaster and I'm trying to get the SRV and Kenny Wayne Shepherd sound and tone.

what CA said, but its mostly through your amps and pedals that you'll get a majority of your tone.... you have a fine guitar, its just fine tuning everything else through the amp and such

I agree with what everyone else says as well, but even if you get all the same equipment, a lot of a persons sound and tone has to do with their hands and technique as well, so just keep that in mind. Read some interviews and do web searches on your favorite players to find out what gear they use, and then use that as a starting point, not an end point. I mean if you want to get the exact KWS or SRV setup, then its your perogative, but its not the way I go about doing things....Start looking at Tubescreamers and Wahwah pedals as I think you'll be wanting to find out some info about those once you find out more about your favorite players setups. This website hasn't been updated in a few years, but is a good place to start:
