I'll join the chorus on this one!

Folks, when you've gone thru a life-threatening illness or situation, you come out the other side looking at things a whole lot different. From an illness perspective I know I have.

As for situations: I think of all the folks going thru what may be the worst Tornado Season on record right now in the USA...

nope my best friends mom spend 16 yrs in a coma.
she was involved in a military plot to kill her. she was
working under oliver north at the time when she discovered
something on a computer that she should not have seen.
( i take every opportunity i can to mention this rebel.
its a sad story indeed. pm if you want the details)
if you could have see her for even 5 minutes, you would know
right away that "every day above ground is a good day" isnt always so
bro.

At this very moment my brother in law's sister is dying in Paliative Care of some as yet undiagnosed disease that they figure must be some rare form of cancer as her whole body has become septic and they can't figure out why.Now she's on constant watch by immediate family and heavily sedated with morphine,so much so she's almost catatonic. There are some fates worse than death.Nobody should have to die in agony.

Who knows why bad things happen to good people.
A friend of mine spent around 6 years as a POW in North Vietnam,in a hell on earth...he wanted to live very much so and made it through excruciating pain through various degrees of torture and humiliation to survive....what little we talked about it made me realize that sometimes what I've gone through pales in comparison...I have no right to $@!&* and moan like I do.
Death will come to all of us,that's for certain,it might be better if we could script our lives up to the end,but that's a pipe dream.
