In arizona we do all of our winter camping in the desert (which is quite nice btw)... and we camp up in the mountain pines in the summer... I try to get out an do a bit of hunting as well....

I'll go camping any time of the year!!!!!

I'm one of those 'idiot' Scots that will head into the Scottish wilds in the middle of winter with some beer and a sleeping bag........

I used to go camping quite a bit before my back got messed up.A crowd of us found a beautiful clearing away from it all and right next to a pond.Someone had used it years before for camping but didn't clean up after themselves so we spent several weekends cleaning it up and claimed it as our own and spent every weekend of the summer there and some even spent part of their summer holidays there.

ive seen bear spray used first hand. i dont want a pissed bear that close again w/o a fire arm. he still had plenty of time to do damage if he really wanted to. had there been a cub in the situation, yeah there would have been trouble.

i love seeing/hearing trapping stories. thats the way it was done back in the day in yours and my country. now i dont agree with poachers though. i dont think our laws are still enough for them.

yes fur prices are down indeed. thank God for that i think.
i know folks where im from that hunting and trapping is how they feed
their families. a successful hunt means everything to these folks, its not a hobby
to them its the way they survive and live. they hunt their meat, grow their veggies, and take their goods to market to trade for the things they need.
