Gonna shoot my old lady
She's been messin' round with another man.

Happiness, is a cold gun. Bang, bang, shoot, shoot.

Uh......"Hey Joe" is about a fictional person named "Joe".....it's not sung in the third person. The singer is asking Joe what he's gonna do. He's not Joe.

Secondly......get ready for it dude....... the lyrics you quoted from a Beatles song are wrong.

JUST A LITTLE BIT WRONG!!!!!!

The song is called "Happiness Is a WARM Gun"

That might be the funniest thing I have read in my life. Thanks Drew. You da man.

The lyrics he wrote for Hey Joe are wrong too,the song goes:
Gonna Shoot my Old Lady,
I caught her messin' 'round with another man.
The song was written like many standard blues songs with a call or question-response theme.Where the person in the first line and every alternate line asks a question and the person in the second line and every other line answers.

Man RJ!!! That's one I haven't seen before, where did you find that?
The guitar has to be the famous "Betty Jean" that wound up in a pawnshop in Clarksville,TN,near FT. Campbell....at least that's one of the legends about it.
That doesn't look like Billy Cox either.

I'm glad I could provide a giggle. I remember when typing "cold gun" it didn't seem right, but I hit that Submit button with impunity. I like to live dangerous I guess.

Thats the very best way I've ever heard that put, call & answer style, many times I hear that ?, and I always have a hard time trying to explain it, woop there it is! srv and all the rest use this simple form.
