Good point Shredd6,

There are many of the cheap ones out there, I consider those disposable, and most of them actually are. The company I deal with will tell you up front that the cheapest ones are just to give you an idea of how the vape works, and may only last a day or two, but won't be as good quality as the better kits. There are $5 disposables for sale that I've been hesitant to try or recommend for that reason.

You know, this forum has been amazing ever since I've joined it. Not everything is about music. I even fixed my fridge as a result of being on here not too long ago. And I don't have the kind of ego that keeps me from asking questions or learning about things I'm not sure of.

It's a great community here, and this is yet another reason why I believe so.

To any kids who might be reading this, I'm not buying this kit as an alternative to smoking, but rather as a tool to get me to stop altogether. If you don't smoke anything at all right now, please just stay that way. You're better off just not even going in any direction where you're inhaling anything but the air you breathe (unless it's specifically for medical reasons like asthma).

Just a quick update:
I did receive my premium kit.
#1- never buy the 7-11 X Hale product. It's no comparison to the premium Joye/ Totally Wicked products. The Vape is much smoother with the premium products. Makes X Hale, and regular cigs, taste like total crap.

That being said, "be careful" would be my only advice with something like this. As I said before, I'm going into this venture to quit smoking entirely. These kits, and the products that are available to use with them are quite good. And as a result, I can see where someone can go the opposite way with this and become even more addicted to nicotine.

I'm just being honest here. In a lot of respects, this is still a fairly new product, new concept. Chemically less harmless than smoking? Most likely.. But I can see now how this could take a person down an entirely different road than quitting altogether.

My plan will be to go with non nicotine liquid from here on out. I really don't want to even go down the other path of Vape-Freak who all of the sudden needs 50-something Mg. to get through every moment of my life.

If you're serious about using this product as a way to quit, my advice would be to start with a low Mg., to no-nic-liquid, and eventually, not messing with it at all.

Best of fortune to all "quitters."

Dear pal just 2 weeks ago had huge surgery for cancer in this mouth and throat. It apppears not to have gone to his lungs, but his wife is worried and has not told him what the doc showed her.

Pray for Jack...and never smoke again.

So...I'm gonna be ordering myself some of these elec. cigarettes tonight, and see how they do. I have asthma, and have been known to keep my inhaler handy when I'm smoking a cigarette and have had more than a hard time quitting. I also just got over being sick and have realized that every time I get sick, breathing is becoming harder and harder for me. So yeah, it's time to quit the cigs and I think these things will be a great way to do so. I'm gonna order from Blu ( www.blucigs.com ), as all the reviews I've read seem pretty positive, and the price is pretty good. I'll be saving about half the money by making the switch, and in the long run the improvements in my health will be WELL worth it. So, here's to quitting, I truly hope to never pick up a cigarette again in my life. We'll see.

I think that is a great decision TimDrakeMusic, I hope that the vaporizer will work well for you. I am using mine less now than I did when I started, and use a low nicotine juice, cherry flavored 6 mg. The low nicotine juice is still very satisfying, I just don't care for the flavors of the juices that have no nicotine, maybe they will start offering more choices with no nicotine. I only spent about $40 on juice and atomizers last month. I have no desire to smoke at all, and now find that smoke just stinks and isn't appealing to me anymore. Post your thoughts after you try yours. Here's to your health! :)

For sure Shimmilou, I'll post an update once I get started (I expect they'll get here by early next week). I'm one that enjoys smoking, and always said I'd probably never quit; I think if these will work to keep me from smoking, they'll work for anyone. Thanks for posting this Shimmi...I've been looking at these things ever since I read your first post. And now that I've put in my order, I'm pretty excited to get off the cigs.

I use Magma, I used to use Blu, but I find Magma more reliable.

How'd you feel about the flavor with Blu?

Very mild. I liked the flavor like that, not too strong, I've tried others where it tasted like you were sucking on candy and I don't like that. The blu cherry, vanilla and menthol I liked a lot. The tobacco and java I weren't so fond of.

I only dropped them since I had batteries die too fast, within weeks, chargers that shipped broken, and orders that would repeatedly be out of stock despite claims on the site.

Hmmm...Well thanks for the insight. Of course I ordered Tobacco and Java, hopefully they're not too bad. Can't be as bad as the Winstons I've been smoking for years though. I am glad to hear that Blu has a mild taste because some brands that I've seen I've heard claims that they have very strong flavor and even some odor to them (Green Smoke brand specifically).

About the out of stock problems, the FDA has been using some pretty dirty tactics to try and gain control of these new products, even going so far as to hold up shipments while the litigation continues. Even though they really have no legal standing for regulation, as these products don't fall under a drug or food category, they have been successful in getting some courts to play along with their slimy practices. I watched some of the court proceedings, and the FDA are talking out of both sides of their mouth, it's sickening, but that is the world we live in now. :(

One thing I want to point out about buying juices. I did buy some from Totally Wicked when I bought my e-cigs. Their juice actually started giving me asthmatic-like symptoms. I was told that it might have been due to the ratio of PG/ VG mix. Some people don't react very well to PG based liquid.

Since then, I've gone with at least 70VG/30PG mixes, even 100% VG, U.S. only liquid, and those symptoms disappeared. So that diagnosis did seem to be the case as far as I can tell.

Just putting the caution out there to make sure you evaluate what you're using thoroughly. Learn the differences of PG and VG, and definitely be wary of how your body is reacting to certain liquid mixes. Better to toss them instead of continuing with something your body doesn't care for.

I'm already finding myself Vaping less. Maybe a few times a day just to curb any strong urges. This does appear to be working very well for me.
