It's hard to go wrong with anything Setzer does.
"Wolfgang's Night Out" is tremendous too. He's just an outstanding player.

Ah-ha - again with the "must-get" album recommendations, Mike! It goes straight onto the list. Thank you! 8)

I've been listening to Brian Setzer's playing since the start. I have very fond memories of being the only non-rocker in the house for a Stray Cats gig at the 400 Club in glamorous (glamorous is sardonic) Torquay one freezing January night back in 1981. Hot damn, those boys put on a show!

Cheers - C

PS: Mike, this doesn't belong on this thread - but it doesn't belong anywhere else either, so forgive me for putting it here. You alerted me to the auction for the EMI Japanese Tsunami Appeal and I just now noticed that a couple of items I've been considering bidding on are nearing their close. Here's the Katy Perry Cupcake Trampoline I've been following. The price is rising - should I still bid?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... NA:GB:1123

Apologies for the hijack - back to the great Brian Setzer.

Cheers - C

Ah, now that's a sensible item - and an approximately sensible price too. Wait till Guitslinger sees it. - It's a good cause!

Right back on topic - just found this. Rumble in Brighton Tonight from 1981. All those punks were not to be seen in the audience the night I caught this show: they wouldn't have got out alive. As it was a certain little mod in his Fred Perry shirt was lucky to escape without broken bones. A hardcore rockabilly crowd. Happy days! :D

(You catching this, Andy and Nutter?)

Cheers - C

EDIT: to insert a better video.
