hello everybody,

please give me some feedback about this strat I rebuilt for my buddy. It was in peices since '98, and I rebuilt her FEB-MAR 2011. Gave her a good cleaning (good enough for a 20 yr old guitar), oiled the fretboard, painted the head to match the body w/custom lettering and clearcoat, clearcoated the pick guard and pup covers that he painted when he first got her. Complete, and fairly off the wall, rewire. There is 1 master vol, 1 master tone, the other knob is for a variable coil tap. placed a toggle for the neck pup directly to the vol. There are now 11 pup combinations! Please enjoy some photos and a crude witing diagram and let me know what ya'll think.

Err, I think the word on the body just about sums it up.

Sorry my friend, but the Z Machine is a monstrousity. I just hope it sounds better than it looks..

Hello Bob, thanks for posting the before pic's, the wiring diagram looks interesting but then I'm amazed by the instructions that come with a toaster, you have been around long enough to know this Forum is a build Forum and it will be interesting to read what questions some other Bros may have. 8)

You may be right about that. She's an old mistreated and abused guitar. had the hell played out of her, and then tossed in a closet. I accumulated enough spare parts through various upgrades and finally had the peices to slap her back together. This baby is not intended to be a show peice, or eye candy. this guitar will, however, produce ear boners! it's got some for tone! she's got some great action and can really put out. one more thought, she's no more uglier than some of the stupid "road worn" junk.
