Those Lillipop Munchkins and the flying monkeys creeped me out as a kid. Also, Mr. Rogers creeped me out, partially because his puppets' mouths didn't move.

Did you ever notice how the Lollipop Guild Munchkin on the right has a hand flipping the bird embroidered on the shirt?

Whaaat? I think that's one of their more sane songs. Most of the songs on Ummagumma I find weird and not my favorite thing, I love pink Floyd but ummagumma and the piper at the gates of dawn are the first two that if I was forced to throw some in the garbage would be gone.

Sorry Barrett fans.

Hocus Pocus by Focus, where else can you get an all those killer solos in the same song as that killer guitar riff and bizzarre yodeling.

Don't get me wrong, I'll crank it up every time but I just don't get it.

"Wet Cheese Delirium" by (pre Steve Hillage) Gong, on Camembert Electrique..

tu aime camembert.. utter nonsense yet strangely compelling..

From a whole album of inexplicable gems, sold in the UK for £0.59p in a bizarre deal struck by Richard Branson on his (then) new Virgin record label. Check out the majestically terrible "Tropical Fish/Selene" for a longer bite of the camembert delight..

A Youtube reviewer said that had Pink Floyd not kicked out Syd Barrett after he went insane, they would have made Camembert Electrique. I think he was on to something..

Hi Pink-Floyd-Fan,were you around when Piper at the Gates of Dawn,Umma Gumma, Saucerful of Secrets et al came out?Just wondering.First when these albums came out they caused a virtual stampede for the record stores of all "acid/alternative/psychedelic" rock crowd.I have fond memories of a crowd of us used to sit around and play these albums endlessly while partaking in various herbal and chemical concoctions. When these albums appeared they were the start of a whole new era in rock music and Sid Barrett and his crew were regarded as the vanguards of a whole new genre of music.I can understand you fully by not being fond of these albums as a lot of people were weirded out by them.I thought though that I'd talk about these albums from the perspective of someone who was there when these albums hit the charts and how mind-blowingly exciting these albums were for some of us.
