To be honest I really like the band but I always forget about them I would never have them in my top 10 because they dont come to mind when Im thinking of my favorites but I really do like their music and I hate Nirvana. Dave Grohl (spelling?) really took a step forward with this band. Great Music and they all really play their instruments.

Foo Fighters, for musicality overall, is in my personal top 20... as far as top 10 of all time, well there's an insane amount of good bands with good music and good messages out there, so weighing them overall would be a very deep and complex process..... but they're message is DivinE.... so they would be somewhere on my top 100.,, regardless of whether they are hit or miss....
Davey Ghrolsky plays the drums harder than anyone else,/... a quote taken from an interview i've seen on myspace recently... I agree with that, and its the same feeling behind the music....

Theres so much criteria that make a truly great band, besides mere instrument skill and technique, so this makes it extremely difficult to carve such good music down to a mere top ten.... at least for me

Since Kurdt Cobain somehow changed my life more recently than when He died or when I seen them play in Springfield MA, 1993, I keep the Foo High on a different ranking, as anyone who knew Kurdt got to hear his wisdom on a friend level... "to infiltrate the mechanics of the empire and begin to rot it from the Inside., it's an inside job" yes this was his standpoint when he wrote his music, and people got it in their heads because it was good and unique and Rockin....

I believe that actually he (KurDts Soul?) talks to me somehow.... but dont judge me for that.... u will anyways.... I am a lot more like Kurdt than I ever would have thought.... in a LOT of ways....

I'm not sure about top 10. There have been some great bands out there. I think they rock and I will be going to their concert in March. I will say that I think they are better then Nirvana (I know I will probably take some heat for saying that).

Some one had to say it!!! lol Al though i do think the foo;s are a great band, they do not havre the originallity that nirvana. I remember the first time i heard teen spirit. It changed my life. Nirvana changed my life. Foos havent done that so much

At least I only got blasted once for saying it

If you're talking about the color and the shape then they are top ten anywhere - after that say about 4th or 5th.

But i say 'VIVA LA PUMPKINS!'

I think they are a very poor band. they offer absolutely nothing unique or original

I love the Foo Fighters they are probalbly in my top 5. Their new album is kick@$# To me I consider them to be somewhat of a modern -day Led-Zeppelin. And no I am not comparing the two in any way, we all know that Zep is the bomb.

I've always like Dave Grohls drumming more than his guitar playing or singing skills. The drumming he did for the Queens of the Stone Age CD- Songs for the Deaf is brilliant. If Dave Grohl wasn't in the band that he was in prior to starting the Foo Fighters, the Foo Fighters would most likely just be looked at as one of the many punk-inspired rock bands that every region has a few dozen of...

Of course that is just my opinion, and I could be wrong...Maybe a decade or 2 from now people will shout "Fighters!" just like people shout out "Zepplin!" today

Nirvana definately gave Dave a boost that's for sure, but he did have experience prior to joining them. Albeit not enough to get where he is today had he not been in Nirvana
