I'm thinking along the same lines as Arjay,however I love my Jimmie Vaughn Strat but not so much for the name association but the way it played and sounded sold me on it.

Even before I saw him last Saturday, I often wondered why he doesn't have his own signature model.

I mean, John Mayer has (if I counted right) forty seven different signature model Strats.

The dipstick from slipknot has two different models. Two...for a guy that wears a halloween mask onstage.

Billy Corgan has his own Strat...and I wasn't even aware that he was a Strat player. I am aware that I fart better than he sings.

C'mon, in Tab Benoit we have a guy who is a spectacular player (I would put forth that he's one of the best blues artists going right now), and he is massively involved with an environmental movement (Voice of the Wetlands, a "save the swamp" group). Besides his great musicianship, he's funny, smart and a great singer/songwriter. Why doesn't he have his own Tele model? I would seriously consider buying one (and the only signature models I've ever considered were the Robert Cray [because of the hard tail] and the Jimmy Vaughan [because of the neck]).
