Would you do so at the expense of your freedom though. Thats what a lot of people forget about the royals. It's not like it used to be, when they could do as they pleased. Their nought but a very expensive tourist attraction these days. They have to comply to the expected conduct of puppets everywhere. :?

Well, if it was consuming most of my time all the time, then there would be no point to it.

the royal family actualy do a lot more than people think- the queen acts as the prime ministers first advisor. half the royal family have other positions of power and still under law the queen has rights to any piece of soverign soil; though she would never abuse that in fear of being removed. along with the money they create they also give us an identity. wether that identity is relavent today is debatable, but i'd like to think it is

+1000!

Most of ours should be mandatorily-retired under "rule 5.56".

Im not too into it, but it would be fair to say that they cost the British taxpayer more. T From here, the British identity does not rest on the royal family- in fact untill recently with news of the wedding. William is the one I believe is the one who will bring change that is much needed. Otherwise I will give 15-20 years and Both NZ & Australia may have new national flags :)

I don't really care about this wedding, maybe it is because I am not in the commonwealth, but apperantly Prince William had a second bachellor party at Hilton Nordica hotel in Reykjavík. It may also have been a aprils fool prank, I have already forgotten it.

Aha yes, papparazzi I would easily do without. Sad eh- as soon as your born you're in the public eye constantly. I bet at times they must feel they wish they lived normal, simple lives.

On the other hand, If I was a royal- I'd have one killer guitar collection!! :P

I hear that the wedding is going to be streamed on the 'royal' YouTube channel...seriously!?!?

Most people I know from the UK on SoundClick are going to take advantage of the Public Holiday to get well and truly hammered.

Niki - That was the funniest thing in this whole thread. But I am quite sure we will see you waving the flag and singing God Save The Queen in front of all the throngs as Kate passes by in her wedding gown. You can't fool us, bud ... we know how you roll ...
