Jimmy Fallon had a great line about Prince William's bachelor party: “It’s gotta be weird stuffing money into a stripper’s bikini when every bill has a photo of your grandmother printed on it.”

Just think though, there is every chance he could be stuffing in bills with his own face on them at some point............

I think that would be pretty awesome!!

I don't see why we need it rammed down our throats constantly. Two people are getting married, so what. It happens every Saturday.
I'm boycotting everything to do with this wedding. It's a staged farce just like his mom and dads anyway. Whats next, this Kate starts urging us to give to charity whilst she sits in her ivory tower. Deja-vu.
Hope she gives all kinds of french tunnels a wide berth.
I won't be joining any street party, waving a flag or having the bank holiday off work, ever.

I'm totally pro-monarchy. Just give us real rulers. Not these clowns that are governed by the media and public opinion.

Look at him and look at her; same scenario with his father: Beautiful women, homely men. Can you say, "Cash Cow"?

And just like most US politicians, they shall live in the lap of luxury for the rest of their lives, doing little or nothing constructive for the 'common folk' whom they are supposed to be responsible for.

Here's some thoughts to ponder: Per the above "Cash Cow" perspective, would you marry the queen? Consider at the very least, all the Strats you could get custom built for yourself with everyone else's money. You wouldn't even have to lift a finger to go get them if you so chose.

The Queen is only worth £300 million, you could get way more strats custom made if you married JK Rowling.

+1000!

Most of ours should be mandatorily-retired under "rule 5.56".

I wish them well. It's no bigger deal than when a President's daughter gets married in the White House. It's a patriotic thing IMO.

From my perspective, Im pro sovereignty- but I'd like to see a shake up in the house of windsor. The Queen has little to contribute our countries and she does nothing for her empire. I cant even remember the last time she was here- she made a speach to our lost miners late last year but thats it. There is an ongoing debate about this & whether we shoud become a republic or become union with Australia- who incidentally mass opinion feel the same way about her.

Yet William was here in jandals, having a beer & a few steaks with sauce at our PM's house. He made speeches and he talked to people who were hit by our earthquakes & he gives his support & compassion with no scripted paper. I reckon he'd be a great King, and he would have his people on his side. We need it, otherwise I'd bet the commonwealth will begin to fall apart even more.

Any type of help, support or whatever generally comes from the british govt & Australia, not our Queen. Not to say we dont appreciate the little we get, but the only thing that links NZ with our queen, is our Gov. General and these days, thats pretty much it.

Agreed. Besides, if I could, "Ride the Gravy Train" like they both can, I'd surely be doing it too. YMMV.
