Craigslist is the one that has worked, FB and locally if Phoenix has a entertainment newspaper, in the Chicago-land area it's called The Illinois Entertainer and they have a classified section for musicians. Very cool that you are looking for a lead guitar gig. Tribute band or covers or are you looking to collaborate.

Originals. Might squeeze in a small handful of covers here and there but the focus would be all original music in the indie and/or alt-country vein.

Brad, the alt/country style is pretty popular now, I have been jamming with a singer/guitar player when ever he isn't rehearsing with one of his other bands. He is a songwriter so every time we jam we put at least 2 songs together and we have 6 close to done and 2 more to put some finishing touches on but he is so busy with other projects we probably won't do anything with those songs and just keep jamming for fun. If I lived in the Phoenix area I'd be calling you every day after work to jam

The problem I find in the North of Scotland is the originals bands are all half my age.......I'm only 33 and anyone my age that really wants to do something only wants to do covers.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place! :(

The other problem here is finding singers and for some reason, bassists!

SO, I'll tell you waht Brad, if we can work out a weekly practice I will join you as a rhythm guitarist then we should find a drummer maybe in South AMerica and a bassist from, say the Middle East!!

The weekly 'commute' would at least ensure commitment (another issue I find when trying to start a new band recently) but four different band members in four different countries would give us a wide range of possible audiences...........

There we are, all sorted, lock the thread!!!!!

Well, how 'bout that -- just a few weeks after posting the above I found the "wanted" ad I'd been looking for for quite a while now. Great group of guys, pro players, drama free, solid material, looking to record a full-length CD soon. First gig is June 25!

You bet, will do. Let me get through a few gigs first and make sure it's still gelling. ;-)

haha look no further I got you covered 8)

just kidding (you are probably looking for someone a little more experienced, and older than me.), but in all seriousness I hope that you'll find the guy that'll fit right in. It can be hard finding the right people for a band

Best of Luck Brad!

Congrats and best wishes, Brad!

'drama free' is a good thing - hope it stays that way.
