I just came across this episode of Myths Busters on Youtube, and I found the conclusion interesting. The two episodes are about fifteen minutes combined.

The plants that were submitted to listening to Metal music outgrowed all the others. They don't draw official conclusions, but they say that the final results are significants.

My wife's window-sill herb garden prefers Toby Keith and Gretchen Wilson.

(nothing in the world like "countrified" cilantro and tarragon)

Herbs with a twang. I might like it too. Many years ago I used to mess up with the wife's plants. I'd recover bell pepper seeds and plant them with the other plants in the apartment and watch her expression when she discovered "new" plants growing around.

No surprise.

Everyone and everything is made of the same atoms and molecules and energy, anyway. Chances are, each of us contains molecues whiche were parts of dinoosaurs, glaciers, whales, cave bears, mountains, coconut palms, underground springs, ancient Romans, Conestoga Wagons, maybe even wood shavings from Antonio Stradivari's violin shop....

Several major philosophies treat all living things as sentient. Others go even further and include up to "everything" as "alive."

The reason that metal made the plants grow is obvious-la merde(shite)makes anything grow better.

I was tripping one time in the early 70's and actually talked to plants. They liked Uriah Heep. Salisbury was their favorite.
