I honestly do not know what the say about Northerners in a glass house please clue me in!

you stated I hate when fanatics are overly agressive and forcefull in the name of Jesus.

then the other guy says "like down south", lumping all of us in together. then you replied
like snake handlers, like we are the only location that has some outside the box way of doing things when it comes to "christianity".
so then i made the comment about glass house's. we know the glass houses thing right?

As a non-serpent handling Christian from "Down South" (is that a specific location or just a generality?), I can attest the presence of many unorthodox religious beliefs borne from inaccurate or incomplete knowledge of the Bible.

...but that's everywhere you go. The Heaven's Gate people in California ("...slice the boys off, cuz the aliens are comin', y'all!"), Jim Jones started in Indiana and then went to California and Guyana, Ohio and Pennsylvania are hotbeds of racism based on a false theocracy and distortion of religious teachings, and the list goes on.

That's where Way Cool's analogy about "Glass Houses" ("People who live in glass houses should not throw stones...", meaning "If you're going to criticize others, let it be known that your own actions aren't hidden and can be criticized as well.")

Just because we have had a few stupid (and yes, that's the only word for it) people from this region do bad and/or stupid things in the name of God doesn't mean that all Southerners with strong convictions are nuts.

there again, i dont know enough about the snake handlers to even say that they are wrong for their belief. i can at least say that they take a leap of faith in doing so that im sure 90% of us wouldnt do. i dont think christ is asking anybody to go out and handle rattle snakes to prove their faith, but to each his own.
question, what have you that believe done today to prove your faith?

Fact of the matter is: No matter who are what you believe in or where you go after your dead and burried. We still have to live with each other on earth.
would it not be cool if you could just roll all the religions into a big religious taco!
