I think I get it. I would like to just rip into the This Cocky jerk that works at Guitar Center. But My mother and father taught me to be respectfull. I normally take the abuse and buy my stuff and get in and out as fast as I can. But What I would really like to say is
"Get over your self tool! you think you're the only IDIOT that thinks they are the ultimate guitar god with your 'I know it all and yes Im better than you' additude! If you're so killer at playing the guitar why are you still getting paid minimum wage working at Guitar Center? Is this employer only place that will give you the time off to tour in japan where your band is a big deal?! Oh if you band is signed why have I never heard of them?"

Disclaimer: This is not bashing Guitar Center who Im sure Fender does alot of buisness with. This is a knock at this one employee. No matter your gender, age, race, religion or skill level, he will talk down to you like your an idiot. There are plenty of guys that work at Guitar Center that are decent but this guy needs to take some customer service classes.

I actually thought about applying to guitar center this summer. My main goal was to learn more from people and hopefully now and then teach someone else something.

I get it now. Sorry about the misunderstanding...and the language barrier thing. I speak English as a second language, too. I was raised speaking small-town Texan.

I would like to tell the professors of the last two classes to:

(1) remember most of us in these classes are either working full time or on active duty in the military, so we don't need "additional/supplementary" assignments in order to get their class. I take my GPA seriously, and I don't need to stay up until midnight finishing a test, paper or blog because they thought of something to add to the assignment

(2) That their courses are just filler required to get a degree; they're not my main focus nor very important to me past getting a good grade. Sociology and Philosophy are just arguments with good grammar, and philosophy is so subjective that the "answers" are different, according to what professor you get.

Political correctness is to dishonesty what the emperors new clothes were to the emperor. I should stop right there.

Be careful, now--don't be plagiarizing Sinead O'Connor! The 1990 song "The Emperor's New Clothes" ends with the lines, "through their own words / they will be exposed / they've got a severe case of / the emperor's new clothes."

She might sue you, and a lawyer might look through all your poetry to find further incidences...

Im by no means PC but I hate Sinead O'Connor for ripping a picture of the Pope. Now hear me out. I dont care what you beliefs are. To each his own. I would still dislike her if she tore a picture of any other religious figure like Jesus, Budah, Dali lama I dont care. I will rag on you and bust your ball for just about anything but religion. You got to draw the line somewhere. Thats why we have Holy wars! becuase of religious intolerance.

or money.
people say that money is the root of all evil. well, i disagree. i say its the absence of money thats the root of all evil. sinead is a little out there. i do think she can sing very well though. the wall in berlin she did the song mother, very very good.
she put some major feeling into that performance.

According to the 1 Timothy 6:10, it's "avarice" or "the love of money" that is the root of all evil. Money, in and of itself is just an inanimate object that we have assigned value to.

I like Sinead's singing. I don't like her politics. She seems to have some issues with expressing herself without creating controversy...or perhaps that's exactly what she wants to do?

I was just cautioning SLBS about lawsuits, not advocating her actions on a TV show from 19 years ago.

Actually fellah's the saying, which is a bible verse 1TIM 6:10 says "The LOVE of money is the root of all kinds of evil". (italics emphasise tense, not actual scripture in greek.)
The term love of money is expressed as one single greek word Philargryia which means love of money, avarice, greed, covetousness.

I think it has more to do with setting money as your idol, rather than just enjoying having a couple of quid in your pocket.

On pollitical correctness. If more people could use a much forgotten tool called diplomacy, there would be no need for pollitical correctness. When we fail to deal with people correctly, we invite such silliness.

(Just saw S.A's post. Doh  )

I agree here Nik, Political Correctness is a very poor substitute for manners.
