You need a couple of lava lamps and some blacklite posters.

A lot of my Hendrix posters were bought while Jimi was still alive. If I can find lava lamps they will be going in.A black light is a definite as I have a few vintage black light posters including the original "Keep On Truckin' " poster and some Hendrix from the late 60s. The Dickie's Blues Bar sign was made by me out of ABS plastic and translucent plastic that we used for making orthosis at work.I put red and blue flashing Christmas lights inside and it looks pretty cool in the dark.I plan on having a big jam when it's all finished-any forum membeers that can make it up this way are welcome.BTW Dickie is a nickname from school that has stuck over the years.

I know what you are going thru. I reorganized my basement. The whole thing is one big cool Man Cave- I had to touch everything in the basement to do the job. It took me 8 days!! I worked about 4 or 5 hours a day on it! Good luck. Make sure you put everything in alphabetical order!!! HA!! :D

geez what a wreck before. lol
yep you needed a makeover. funny how in no time your music room gets out of hand.
it grows on us and we grow with it til one day we see it in a pic or somebody makes mention of the mess, then all of a sudden we realize it too lol.
my music room is still in limbo. :( was ment to be done by last november.
to much stuff keeps coming up ya know.
i like that old style radio. is it actually antique or a reissue lol?
its gonna look cool when its done, a very comfortable place to come lounge or jam out.
i think we pretty much know what blinkers has in mind opening night lol.
congratz bro, keep the pics coming blinkers. um..... i mean slinger. :D

Ha! Reminds me of my basement makeover...I was collecting more and more vinyl over the years along with CDs and DVDs and then came the guitars and amps! Finally had enough of it and did the basement over . From concrete walls, bare floor and floor joists for a ceiling to insulated/finished walls with new electrical and forced-hot water heating and suspended ceiling with 4 zone lighting and a carpet. Oh and 100" screen and HD projection with 5.1 surround. And a place to put my guitars and amps finally!

Long process but in the end well worth it.
Good luck!

ok slinger,
we see your making some changes. you cleaning up and getting things in order.
i see your music collection. probably something for everybody in there. i see the bar.
something for most people and blinker in there as well. i see the music gear incase to much time at the bar leads you to believe that your the new 5th beatle and you want to prove it. good deal there as well. what i dont see is the brass pole.
where in the h3ll is the brass pole at bro? no jam room set up like that is complete w/o a brass pole.

Love the guitar hanging on the wall. Have the same model, that my son won during the CNE except it is black with a burnin' fire "finish". When not played, sometimes goes flat so I have to re-tune it with good ol' lungs.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. The "vintage radio" is in fact a Christmas present from my daughters and it converts albums,45s and tapes as well as CDs to CD format without going through a computer.Since I have so many vintage albums that will unlikely ever be released in CD format the "radio"comes in handy.
