What guitars come with a "v" shaped neck (Fender or some other make)? I know the Jimmie vaughan strat does, but are there many others? I seem to be having a hard time finding guitars with this neck and I LOVE the shape. The only other that I found was a peavey t-style guitar. Perhaps im just overlooking them?
Thanks everyone

Eric Johnson Signature Strat
American Deluxe V Neck

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Y' know, this whole neck shape and fretboard radius thing has been pretty much a flipping mystery to this picker, like for farking ever.

Yeah, an LP and Buddy Guy Strat have kinda thick half-baseball bat necks and a Firebird is real narrow at the low end and a Mosrite has a pencil neck...

...but frankly, 'just pick them there guitars up and play 'em...

...and would have a hard time telling without careful looking, what has what. Neck and radius...and 'don't care, either.

'Can't tell wines apart either, but 'don't like 'em, so that's not important either.

+1, sort of...

I don't care what the radius or shape is, as long as it's set up well and not too narrow. I don't mind a fast neck (thin from back of neck to front of fretboard; my G&L F100 has a somewhat fast neck profile) but I don't like/have a hard time playing a narrow neck. I got rid of a 1964 Mustang because the neck was too small at the nut; I liked the guitar otherwise.

I also didn't buy one of those Ibanez Talmans with the lipstick pickups (they were made in the early-to-mid 90s) for the same reason (nut was too narrow). Those axes were really cool-looking, they sounded good and they were reasonably priced...but I had a hard time making chords in the first position.

Having said that, all of my guitars (electrics, bass and acoustics) have different neck profiles and I love them all. Each of them "make me" play a bit different (not better or worse, just different), too, because of the feel of the neck.
