If you do, get the new version. I had the 15 and the data wheel went (a very common condition) so I traded up to a 30. I should have gotten the Line 6 Spider Jam. The problem I see with the old and even the new GDecs are the effects and the presets. It's kind of a hassle going through all the presets and parameters to get the sound you want. More is not always better. Also the effects sound pretty cheesy to me. It's more apparent through headphones. That said, it can be a fun toy and a decent practice tool. I never updated my 30, that seems to be when all the software problems kick in. I also use live jam tracks. The newer versions have a lot more options other than MIDI. I don't know if it's user error or software problems. Also, be sure your computer is up to date. Seems like incompatibility can also be a problem.

I own a g dec 15 and the prior post hits it on the nail, I find that a good warm up time and slow on the control knob seems to help, but like all the other forum post on this fender product I,am disappointed with this purchase. :(
