Dio- Holy Diver. My sister bought it for me when I was 14 and it turned me into a lifelong metalhead! Still going strong at 44 years old!

Nirvana - In Utero

Without a shadow of a doubt the single most important album in my life. It has had such a massive impact on my life in that it REALLY got me into Nirvana, which in turn got me into pretty much every band I listen to today, helped me develop as a songwriter and (through various bands I found through them) a player, and introduced me to music I could relate to instead of Big-houses-hot-girls-tons-o-money rock n' roll. Seriously, had I never heard this album I WOULD NOT be the person I am today (actually, I'd probably be the complete opposite).
