windshields arent designed to shatter. its the side glass that shatters like your thinking about.

Yeah, it def looks legit the way the windshield would break. The glass shouldn't shatter, and around where the board came through the 'cloudy' look from all the tiny cracks (which is what the glass is designed to do in a situation like that to absorb shock and prevent shattering) all looks legit to me. I watched the video a bunch of times and I still think it's real. I was on the fence after Riley's post earlier, but I definitely think it's real. I saw something similar to that on one of those "Most Shocking" tv shows where a metal fence post came through the windshield, inches from the head of the guy in the passenger seat. I hope I never have to experience something like that personally.

the lady said in the interview that both trucks were playing a game of trying to block her from passing. so she turned her camera on to record the situation as she had gotten the companies number from the side of one of the trucks.
i believe shes legit.

SHELBY, N.C. -- A woman from Cleveland County was video taping two trucks that were driving in front of her when what appears to be a 2-by-4 board crashed through her windshield.

Wendy Cobb was shooting video as a trailer ran over a board which flew up in the air and crashed through her windshield.

Shelby police said that Cobb was driving on Highway 226 on April 1 when the incident happened.

Cobb said she was video taping the trucks because they were driving dangerously.

Cobb said she is grateful her children were not with her in the car and nobody was hurt.

The dramatic video is getting a lot of national attention. Cobb, her husband Calvin, an EMT with Cleveland County EMS and their son Chance, have already been interviewed on national television.

This is a perfect example of why we need to drive with both hands on the wheel. Driving whilst filming movies with our phones is never recommended, no matter how tiresome other roadusers are being. It's to do with not wanting to die, I guess.



You'll shower first, right? That's so important after a "terror" situation, I always find.

What gets me is the fact she is filming with one hand but never seems to place that hand back on the wheel.......................nerves of steel!

I would have dropped the phone, got that hand back on the wheel and probably wrapped my entire body around the wheel whilst both feet were pushing the brake through the foot well to try and stop whilst screaming like a terrified girl and filling the car with a kind of greeny/brown mist!!!! All of which would probably have been caught on the camera-phone as it fell on the passenger seat and then I would be the next 'fail' video on Youtube!!!!!!!!
