Pop back to the Super-Sonics thread and renounce your Pignose.

I bet that'll unjinx you...

Are you talking about your compatibility button in IE? What version of IE are you running?

First button to the right of the address box at the top of Internet Explorer. It carries an icon of a ripped in half page.

Some web page code is not compatible with recent models of IE, so for instance you get the annoying effect of the posting box (such as I'm typing in this very second) jumping around in a disconcerting way when you overfill it with text. Clicking that Compatibility View button tells the browser to interpret all the code on a given website as the offending sort and so adjust accordingly.

Oddly, one click on that button should be good for all time, as far as a given website is concerned. Something's going badly wrong if Mr WC has to hit it repeatedly. I suspect Fender have performed a secret viral function on a declared Pignose amp advocate. They hate Pignose! :|

Ah, ok, IE. I'm running Firefox and Opera here, that's why I never came across that button.

P.S.: Ceri- so this button is shaped like a pig's nose?? ;)

Oops: posts crossing in hyperspace.

No, but I believe that icon is a depiction of a broken low wattage amp. Of any brand other than Fender. (Yikes!)

Thanks Ceri for that beautiful screenshot. I like red squiggly lines! :)

As far as universally usable programming goes, that's highly illogical. I guess we say: "Thank you, Microsoft"?

They could've just programmed it to always run in compatibility mode, no? *shakes head from side to side in disbelief*

Edit: Found this gem on a related topic. Enjoy.
