The Vintage Guitar Mag. Price Guide I ordered finally came in today so I've been spending some time looking through it.The guide is just a bit thicker than last year's guide but I haven't gotten around to comparing this year's vintage prices to last year. The vintage guitar market is supposed to be settling down again due to the recession and bank crash and people just don't have the disposable income they used to have.Having said that though I believe a '54 Strat or '59 Les Paul will always out of my reach. It appears though that some of my Vox guitars and old effects pedals have climbed a bit in value.I gotta go now and check out the Hagstroms.

I bought mine off the shelf at Chapters last year but they didn't have any in stock this year so I had to order it.With my frequent readers card it only cost $28.00.

Nevin,
The 2009 edition of the same book lists the price range for rare colors of the '63-'64 Jazzmaster to be $8'000.00 - $15'000.00. Common colors range from $6'500.00 - 8'000.00 and Sunburst $4'400.00 - $5'400.00.
Now I'm curious as to the prices in this years edition too.

Cheers,
John.E

Hi guys the value of a matching headstock Jazz from'63 would be about $8000 for a common colour and $13,000 for a rare colour.A '71-'72 Goldtop LP Deluxe with minis would be around $3,300-$3,600.BTW I have a '63 Hagstrom Corvette that cost $750 when new and a '66 Hagstrom II,sweet guitars with super thin necks. The Corvette is solid mahogany with neckthrough body done like a one piece.
