i'd probably have my own guitar made to specific specs with a few added things put in... possibly a fender masterbuilt or a guitar made by hugh manson who does basses for john paul jones and guitars for matthew bellamy

Right now probably a dano DC shorthorn bass or a fretless Warwick Thumb (á la Jack Bruce).

But in all honesty I'm more than happy with my Squire VM Fretless and my American Jazz Bass.

I would probably have one made especially for me.

If I could have any guitar I'd have Bob Benedetto hand make me a one of a kind archtop.

Hello falcan.
I'd ring up the custom shop and have them slap a
ebony fretboard on a strat for me.
Cheers.

It could chaneg tomorrow--there are many I'd love.

If I could have any guitar ever, I would like to have walked into that music store 30 minutes before Eric Clapton did, with some $600, and bought the batch of used guitars that Eric bought and sorted through to put together "Blackie."

I guess I'm lucky. The more I thought about this, the more I decided that I already have it. My home-assembled Zencaster is totally it.

I would actually like to make one specific to me. One day I will have to give it a try.

What would be the use. It would be just another guitar. Clapton had to buy'em and put blackie together for it to be a good guitar. So actually if you buy'em before he does, all you've got is a bunch of plain ole' strats that nobody cares about.

To each their own though.
