I try and avoid the GCs, Daddy's and other big chains. Not always possible if you're looking for the best deal.

Buckdancer's Choice in Portland, Maine has a great variety of many very nice guitars, as does Mr Music in Boston. I liked Performance Music in Woburn the best...and I haven't changed since this old thread :
