Hi All, I'm currently reviewing the practice amp market and the New Fender GDEC3 looks interesting.
Could someone inform me about the direction and future of the GDEC line, is Fender investing in this product for the future?, If I buy now will the next line completely blow the existing GDEC's away... can it or will it bebackward compatible, firmware upgradeable through the FUSE system .

Kindest Regards,

dtwenty5 :D

Everything evolves and in this day and age, it seems at an exponential rate. But while you are waiting to see what's gonna change, you'll be missing out on what you could be playing with right now. I owned (still do) several of the original G-DEC 30 amps, now I own a couple of G-DEC 3 Thirty amps and I own two versions of the Mustang amp series. It's not like you're buying a car... just buy the amp, enjoy it, play it and if things change in the future (which they will) then move on or not. Who cares if the next version is completely compatible with the older version? Just play.
