That kid has some skills. I saw that video a while back. There's another one on there about some people that were getting mad that a kid his age was playing in a bar and if I'm not mistaken, they succeeded in getting him banned from playing in the bars/night clubs. The kid seemed pretty bummed out when they were talking to him. Must have been some jealous musicians that weren't getting any gigs that got him in trouble.

yes tim the kid has skills. he has more heart than skill in all honesty.
i think there is a time frame a child should be allowed to play in a bar.
i use to play in a bar in FL several yrs ago. during the day it was a "family eatery", buy after 9PM it turned into a full bar and notbody under 18 was allowed. i think the same should apply for child performers as well. after a certain time its a no go.

Yeah, if I had an 8 year old that was a musician I don't think I'd let him/her work the bar scene. I don't think that kid has a lot to worry about losing a few bar gigs either. With talent yes, heart as well, like this kid has he'll go far in life if he so chooses. I was just picking up the guitar at 8 years old, and I certainly wasn't playing anywhere near as well as he does.

Check out this 6 year old drummer right here. I've been following his YouTube vids for about a year, he's pretty good for 6.
