That is crazy....my parents were so cool when I was growing up.They bought me my first strat and fender amp.They loved when I stayed home and jammed it up,I just had to chill before 10:00pm or so.They would of rather had me at home jammmin than pickin me up at the police station for drinking beer under age and gettin into mischeif.
Try writing your mom a cool song for her and tell her you wrote it just for her.....maybe she will have a change of heart.I always let my daughter play whenever just not too late

My MUm, God rest her, hated me playing after about 8 and it drove me nuts, even with the amp on it's lowest setting she would shout at me so one year, when I was about 16 I bought her a set of £75 headphones for her birthday.....she opened them, was confused and asked me what she could do with them. I took her to my room, switched my amp to full, plugged in the headphones and put them on and started playing........never had a problem after that and she never mentioned the fact that I didn't actually get her anything for her birthday!!!!

hay kid, your mother is not the devil and one day you'l understand that. Give her a break and try playing another kind of MUSIC when she's around. Say something like hay mom, this one is for you. Remember "Try a little Tenderness".

I think if I had a 12 year old to raise, 7pm would be about time he started brushing his teeth, and getting ready for bed. Right after he finished his homework from spelling class that still needed to be tended to.
