Ok folks - Hook Me up with an Acoustic/Electric. Something good that is light and comfortable to play and is a bit off the usual suspects.

I want that clean resonant feeling you get from an acoustic is played when everything is still quiet.

look into ovation guitars.... fender makes some nice ones, but ovation is know pretty much for their acoustics and electric-acoustics.... they're great guitars and feel really nice to play

nice, i love ovation guitars.... i like fenders more, but for electric-acoustics nothing in the price range comes close... great acoustic sound and when plugged in, can get some sounds near an electric

When it comes to acoustics I guess I am more old school. Give me a nice acoustic and let me mic it. I have a Breedlove that is a good strumming guitar, but it is crap playing lead. I had a Taylor that was too bright for me, but had a neck to die for. I really want a Gibson Songwriter but my wife has given me a 1 in 1 out policy and I can't give up any of the current herd.

Maybe if you buy her something nice?

My brother buys his wife jewelry or new furniture when he wants a new guitar.

I think mine has given up, I still get the occasional head shaking when she see's me looking at something new. For the most part as long as it doesn't interfere with our budget for the important stuff, she's ok with it.

That said, she thinks my current arsenal is way to much for my playing ability. Yet she gets a pair of shoes or a purse more than I can understand, I've had the same wallet for 5 years - Go Figure.
