We will be passing through Nashville soon and was wondering if there are any guitar stores that are a must see.

well i go through nashville about every two weeks or so, and the only guitar stores i've been to are the guitar center and the gibson store in the opry mills mall. The gibson store is pretty cool, worth checking out. lots of high-end guitars in there. and if you're staying overnight in nashville, i'd recommend taking a walk around downtown in the afternoon. lot of live bands in bars, i saw a guy tearing up a fiddle on a sidewalk, etc. nashville really is a cool place to see.

Gruhns is a place to walk around and look, but not a place to play lots of guitars...it is a serious vintage store....kind of high brow.
Guitar Center is like any other I guess.
Broadway (Lower Broad) as we call it has lots of flavor....go have a brew at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, world famous, they claim. :)
A club called 3rd & Lindsley has lots of good music...and it's on the corner of those two streets.

Stopped in at Gruhn's a couple years ago as I was passing through Nashville. It was just like visting a Guitar Farm.....the place was packed with many high end Fenders, Gibson's Martins, etc.....

Good luck.
